Last week we published the first part of our Plane Spotting series, covering the latest airlines to fly the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. So many airlines have added the aircraft to their fleets since we reported on this topic a year ago that we had to split our update into two parts.
Among the airlines we cover in this post are LAN, the first Latin American airline to adopt the 787, and Qatar and United, which were some of the earliest carriers to take delivery of the 787. United has since added the newest version of the Dreamliner, the larger 787-9, to its fleet.
Below are airlines L through X, the routes they fly and the cabins they offer.
Routes: LAN, the first Latin American carrier to adopt the Dreamliner, flies the aircraft from Santiago to Lima, then on to Frankfurt, New York and Los Angeles. The airline also flies the 787 from Santiago to Buenos Aires, Cancún, Easter Island, Madrid, Sao Paulo and Punta Cana.
Cabins: The airline offers a spacious premium business class cabin, which seats 30, and an economy cabin, with 217 seats.
Routes: LOT flies the 787 from Warsaw to Beijing, Chicago, New York, Tbilisi and Toronto.
Cabins: There are 18 seats in business class, 21 in premium economy and 213 in economy.
Routes: Norwegian flies the Dreamliner to the United States and Bangkok from its Scandinavian hubs and London.
Cabins: There are 32 seats in premium economy and 239 in economy.
Routes: Qatar currently flies its 787s out of Doha to Dubai, Frankfurt, London, Manchester, Munich and Zurich. The airline continues to add the aircraft to new routes.
Cabins: The carrier’s business class cabin is configured for 22 people, while economy holds 232.
Routes: Royal Air Maroc flies the Boeing 787 from Casablanca to New York and Paris. The airline plans to add more flights to Europe and Africa as more planes are delivered.
Cabins: The carrier’s business class cabin has 18 seats, and economy has 256.
Routes: From its hub in Bandar Seri Begawan, Royal Brunei flies the Dreamliner to Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Melbourne.
Cabins: The business class cabin has 18 lie-flat seats, and the economy cabin has 236 seats.
Routes: Royal Jordanian flies the 787 from Amman to Bangkok, Chicago, Detroit, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Montreal and New York.
Cabins: The carrier has 24 seats in Crown Class (business class) and 247 seats in economy.

Routes: Scoot operates both the 787-8 and the newer 787-9. From Singapore, it flies to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Gold Coast, Perth and Sydney.
Cabins: The airline offers economy and premium economy seats. Its 787-9 holds a total of 375 passengers, and the 787-8 holds 335.
Routes: Thai Airways flies the 787 from Bangkok to Fukuoka, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Nagoya, Perth, Sapporo and Tokyo.
Cabins: The airline offers 24 lie-flat seats in Royal Silk (business class) and 240 in economy.
Routes: A major European charter airline, Thomson flies the 787 to several destinations in the Caribbean, India, Thailand and the U.S. from seven cities in the U.K.
Cabins: The airline has 47 seats in premium economy and 244 seats in economy.
Routes: TUIfly Nordic is a Swedish charter airline that flies 787s from Copenhagen to Montego Bay and Puerto Plata; from Helsinki to Mauritius; and from Stockholm to Cancún, Fort Lauderdale, Mauritius and Montego Bay.
Cabins: The carrier offers 47 premium economy seats and 253 economy seats.
Routes: United flies 787-8 Dreamliners on a wide range of routes, including Houston to Chicago, Denver, Lagos, Los Angeles, London and Newark; Denver to Tokyo; Los Angeles to Tokyo and Shanghai; and San Francisco to Chengdu. The airline flies 787-9 Dreamliners, which have a longer range and more interior space, from Los Angeles to Melbourne and Sydney.
Cabins: United’s 787-8 aircraft have 36 BusinessFirst seats, 70 economy plus seats and 113 economy seats. The 787-9 aircraft have 48 BusinessFirst seats, 88 economy plus seats and 116 economy seats.
Routes: Vietnam Airlines flies the 787-9 from Hanoi to destinations throughout Southeast Asia, as well as to London and other European cities.
Cabins: The airline offers 28 seats in business class, 35 in premium economy and 211 in economy.
Routes: Virgin Atlantic’s first 787-9 was nicknamed the Birthday Girl, and it flies between London and Boston. Dreamliners are scheduled to be deployed on other key routes between London and cities in the U.S., including New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. In addition, 787s will be rolled out on flights from London to Hong Kong, Delhi, Shanghai, Los Angeles and Johannesburg.
Cabins: There are 31 seats in Upper Class (business class), 35 in premium economy and 198 in economy.

Routes: XiamenAir flies the 787 from Xiamen, China to Amsterdam and Sydney.
Cabins: The airline offers three cabins: four seats in first, 18 in business and 215 in economy.
